ENVIRONMENT- Just a topic in our curriculum?
Earth day is celebrated on the 22nd of April every year to bring awareness about the importance of preserving our mother earth. One can confidently say that we have done nothing but harm our mother nature in the past few years. Global warming is a huge concern, the threat is real but we don’t take it seriously and we complain about pollution but they are all just noise, we don’t act wisely.
Can preserve via events?
Every year on this day special events are organized all over the world to create awareness among people. But it’s just like another day as we have some event every single day so no one really bats an eye except for the people who are genuinely concerned about preserving earth which is a very small number.
Start a new journey
Earth day anthem says (” WE MAKE OUR HOME A NEWBORN WORLD”). NO, We don’t need a newborn world, it’s the other way around. We need our old world back which was free of pollution, no global warming and issues and literally no pollution. We cannot bring that back but at least we can try our best in restoring that world we used to have, the world where everyone was hale and healthy. This could not be achieved by just thinking about me only one day an year. Every day we should show our concern, act accordingly and unite with like-minded people and thrive on it. Let’s consider this day as the start of our new journey in which we will work in unity to restore our clean old world.
