The planet surrounded by water
♦ We have been taught as a kid that three-fourths of our planet are covered by water. Almost 75% of the earth is covered by water yet we have to deal with water scarcity. Why? Why could we not make use of the water which is all around us? Why is there a scarcity even then? We might be surrounded by huge water bodies but the water which would be suitable for our drinking purposes is very minimum which amounts to very a little percentage when compared to our huge water resources.
The rainwater harvesting
♦ We used to drink water directly from our ponds during earlier times but now that wouldn’t be possible as all the water bodies around us are contaminated. They have to been made to undergo a lot of processes to make it suitable for our drinking purposes. Secretion of wastes directly into the water bodies is the main reason for this, especially the industrial wastes which are the major cause of water pollution and it totally makes the water unfit for purposes.
♦ We can see places where people haven’t even heard of the rainwater harvesting. If the water is not stored a wasted one day we are going to face a situation where water is going to charge us money more than gold. We are already in the beginning stages of it, we pay for water. Unless and until we take action against it. We are going to suffer in the long run.
It’s important to save
♦ People should be educated about the importance of preserving water. Mainly they should be educated about efficient usage of water. Fresh water is becoming extinct. We should be cautious while disposing of our wastes, we should take extra care such that it is not directly released into the water bodies. We waste a lot of water for our household purposes. For instance, we waste a lot of water while we are bathing, we could efficiently save them by using showers. Proper sanitation has to be maintained.
♦ Waste water can be efficiently recycled and reused. It makes life better for all the species in our planet be it plants, animals or human beings depending on them. Let’s understand the importance of water and let us unite together by educating people about the rising concern of water concern. We should serve as an example and lead people such that our future generations won’t have any water related problems and can lead a happy healthy life.Let’s preserve water thereby saving our mother nature.
